THE PROJECT
Shiku is a narrative short film centered around the experiences, relationships, and choices that shape the lives of its characters. The film explores its story through a combination of performance-driven storytelling, carefully composed visuals, and emotionally grounded moments.
The project provided an opportunity to explore filmmaking as a collaborative process, bringing together different creative and technical departments to transform a written story into a visual narrative.
My contribution to the project focused on visual storytelling and post-production, with particular attention to how individual shots, pacing, sound, and transitions work together to support the story. The goal was to create an edit that feels natural while maintaining the emotional rhythm of the film.
Shiku represents an exploration of storytelling through performance, atmosphere, and cinematic language, while demonstrating the collaborative process involved in taking a short film from production to its final screen-ready form.
